Module 6: Working with Rasters
This last module focused around working on rasters, how to describe them, list them, how to use raster object in geoprocessing, and how to use map algebra operators. We also learned how to use the Spatial Analysis tool (arcpy.sa) which gave access to multiple geoprocessing tools that worked with raster data. This lab specifically tasked us with creating a raster output that used a set of parameters for a specific area. There were of course some hiccups along the way but after some hard headed thinking, researching, and trying out different codes; I was able to get the desired outcome which is imaged below.
I used a sort of step by step checklist to follow and that I later revised in order to know which method worked correctly and gave me the outcome above.
As the last module, I feel I have a better grasp on how to use Python and then benefits it can bring to my work. I am no expert by no means but I definitely have a better understanding at the basics and know where I can improve.
