Module 5: Supervised and Unsupervised Classification

 In this weeks lab, we learned how to create signatures with two different methods as well as how to handle unsupervised and supervised data. For this specific map, we were looking at the current land use in Germantown, Maryland and how the different classes have changed over the years. I did like this lab because I am beginning to get more comfortable with ERDAS and remembering some tips from previous labs as well as learning some new ones. I did struggle with merging the classes and then transferring it to ArcGIS but I ended up just fixing it in ArcGIS by using unique values and changing the colors to what it looked like in ERDAS. Overall, somewhat difficult lab with the many small steps but by the end of it I feel pretty good with using these new toolset in future labs as well as the real world!
